Yesterday I saw (too) this little (for tachinid flies, around 5mm.) and restless walker fly, a Kirbya moerens for sure, I think. It was on ivy.

Is it possible to know the sex?

Looks good - they are quite active aren't they ... I remember chasing them around an Italian hill-side in March Smile
