How can we be sure that this isn't a P. bitincta male (from description in Gregor et al, 2002, scutum can be entirely yellow with 4 longitudinal dark vittae)?

I doubt Phaonia bitincta can have a complete row of post acr like this...

I see what you mean - tough though, it would be interesting to know if there are any setulae on the radial node of the ventral side of the wing

Do you ( the collector) still have the specimen?
