I photographed these flies in my garden in Wolverhampton, UK yesterday (13th September). There were very many of Fly1 about and I observed them moving about on the plant leaves with their wings held aloft, almost like they were dancing. Maybe 3mm in length? Fly2 was slightly bigger, but not by much! Maybe the last one (fly3) is one of the so-called "snail-killing" flies? Any help in identification would be much appreciated!
