Could genus be told of this distictly marked 3-4 mm Psychodidae?
Photos from 11 july 2012 Salom, Norasundet 62, E 17 Ã…ngermanland, Sweden.

Probably the hair patterns on the wings of Psychodids are species-specific, but very little is known of what the different species actually look like in life. This is because specialists usually work with material preserved in alcohol or mounted on microscope slides.
I have started a small project trying to find good field characters for the most common species in Northern Europe. I photograph specimens and then catch them to look at them in the lab. The next time you see specimens like this, please catch some and send them to me!

I try to raise this thread once again. I found pictures that looks quite like my picture named as Ulomyia fuliginosa.

What can Gunnar tell about this.
