i found these flies mating in some woods in north london and would like to know more about it. If anyone can help I'd be especially grateful as this can be included in the park's survey of invertebrates, thanks, Jeremy (a 2nd picture available)

Xylomyidae. Looks like Solva marginata.

thanks a lot Stephen, is there a confusion species that you know of or is it fairly straightforward? apparently varia has longer antennae but is similar etc
