Found this small fly on a Saponaria officinalis in SWSweden.

Any idea on the id?

Lauxaniidae; either Lauxania minor or Lauxania cylindricornis...Frown

Thanks, guessing cylindricornis is more likely, seem to be a fairly commonly reported species. Not sure if minor occurs here? Not possible as a reporting choise in the national report system.

L minor seems to be poping up all over Europe since it was described, so work looking at old collections?

I seem to reacall the minor does not have white arrista? but denitalia are the true way to be sure
