Photograph taken on May 20, 2012, in the wetlands of the Suįrez Pond, Motril, Granada, Spain.
Immediate area of the Mediterranean coast.
Apparent size with wings, about 11-12 mm

It is possible that it could be a male Sphaerophoria scripta ...

In my opinion the abdomen is far too short forit to be scripta.
