Nr. 1 This specimen is collected and send to Louis Boumans. He told me that it's a male, but he has some doubts about the name. He thinks 1 wing spot might be missing for this species. The antennae are characteristic for Clytocerus. The second specimen is most likely a female of the same species - they have the antennae less distinct than the males. Louis has sent me your specimen already; I will slide-mount it the next time I am in the lab. The ocellaris group is kind of tricky; there are several species that are both clearly distinct and poorly characterized - a revision of at least the European species is necessary. I'll see what I can do. |
