Hi,

I have had Smidtia conspersa before but this one looked a little different so at first didn't recognise it. Is this correct?

My garden/door near Lincoln UK, 23rd April. It was probably ~9mm.

It looks pretty good to me (hairy parafacial, hairy eyes and orange scutellum, orange palps(?)) but I don't see many of them myself - Erikas might confirm though Smile

The palps do look to be orange from what I can see. I saw it a few times in 2010, once last year and 2009. Funny thing is they are all from 12th, 13th & 14th April! The cold weather must have delayed them this year.

Thanks Erikas. Smile There's one thing bothering me, that is the multiple rows of bristles on the frontorbital plate, I got photos of another one yesterday which has fewer bristles. When I edit the photos I will post them for comparison! Wink
