After a few pictures to identify, now, courtesy of Francisco Rodriguez, I upload some pictures of Ptiloedaspis tavaresiana. The photos were taken in Almeria, Spain, between March and May, 2010 and 2011. There are more images in Biodiversidad Virtual:

At the left column, Diptera Gallery => Submit photo to the gallery. Do not forget to copy link before.

And please submit also some other (Tephritis pulchra, Tephritis praecox) positively identified species.

going to seek out some Artemisia galls in sand dunes and rearing it, can give this as result. Smile Almería is a very good place for insects, in general.
