[Tabanidae] Silvius alpinus?

Hi,

this very nice Silvius was caught in Slovenia (near mount Sneznic) around 10th of july.
Is it S.alpinus?

Libor is right, it agrees with algirus.

I'm not familiar with this species either, but it totally agrees.

Exact coordinates (on google maps): 45.569825,14.298953, this is east of Ilirska bistrica, on the road to Mount Sneznic.

Caught in an ancient quarry.

To bad I did collect almost nothing Sad
