Hello Forum, this fly - which I think it could be a Tachinidae species - I saw today, March 13th 2011, in Hagen, NRW, Germany. The habitat is a wood of mainly beech and oak, 150 to 200 msm. Is a closer ID possible? Best regards, Josef Josef Buecker attached the following image: [102.8Kb] |

the tibae are slightly reddish, moreover, it is too early for Phorocera, it is Campylochaeta praecox (note the very long hairs on the eyes as well) Theo |

Hello all together, hello Theo, thank you very much for your help! Especially, I note the very long hairs on the eyes. Is the picture, therefore, worth for our gallery? Best regards, Josef |
