Probably, but it also reminds me a bit of Sarcophagidae, subfamily Miltogramminae.... Maybe someone else will know for sure.

Very hard to say without a specimen ... I can't confirm the subscutellum and the wing venation is not clear. I would still guess that it is a tachinid but it shows that in the neotropics you can really help our knowledge by taking specimens - but photos are just interesting and tantalising at the same time Wink

It is very Miltogramminae-like, yet, my gut feeling says it is a Tachinidae.

is there any Miltogramminae with very, very strong abdominal bristles? I will go for Tachinidae.
