Hi

This photo was taken on 29th July 2010 in Carrapateira beach.

I thought in Nyctia halterata (Sarcophagidae) - but the antennae seems different... put me some doubts. I thought in Tachinidae too... but it is probable to be a sarcophagid...

Yes, it is a female Nyctia halterata.
Confirmed by Thomas Pape.


EDIT: After that, I emailed Thomas again, and he told me that I must fix the species to Nyctia lugubris.
