Centuries ago I collected some Tabanidae (BTW, Theo, if you like you may have them: some species from Hungary and Croatia), but as far as I remember I never saw C. flavipes. I believe it is a species from Southern Europe and Northern Africa, right?

Southern Europe up to Central Asia (Iran, though the var. gedosiae is a good species in my opinion). I'm not sure about Arica, but it is not Afrotropical. It is undoubtedly present in both Hungary and Croatia, though probably rare in Hungary ? Theo |
