 Good evening,

I saw flies like this ( about 4 mm ) several times on Populus last summer. The eyes of the animal were dark ( greenish ), the flash made them red. Is it possible to give it a name ?

 Yes, it is the lauxaniid Homoneura subnotata.

Tried to attach an image to a forum post. jpg, 32kB, 72dpi, no blanks, ... File name is correctly displayed, but when I click "Preview Thread" it just vanishes. Help!
