Hello everybody
I'd like to show you a fly found in Caltanissetta, central Sicily, Italy, at about 500mt height.
It's a diptera belonging to Ulidiidae family. It is about 7 mm long.
Picture taken on Aeonium arboreum flowers.
Date: April 26th 2009.

Can you please give me the specific id?
Bye
Amedeo

Otites cf. anthomyiina Hendel. Unfortunately, face coloration, which is essential, is not visible, but otherwise, ID is highly probable.

Hi Valery,
