There has been some changes in nomenclature in de Chalcosyrphus genus.
The old Chalcosyrphus valgus is now called Chalcosyrphus femoratus. The old Chalcosyrphus femoratus is now called Chalcosyrphus curvipes.
So the name nowadays for this species should be Chalcosyrphus femoratus.
