this fly is awesome!!! I was baffled when I realized I was seeing Trichopoda pennipes!!! Those hind legs are gold!!! Grin

Tachinidae - Trichopoda pennipes. Found also in Viseu. Smile I saw the other specimen in last year.

One very curious thing: In this holiday day, 1st May, I was thinking at the morning about: "why Trichopoda pennipes don't appear here?", and incredibly at 3.30 pm I spotted this fly... At 1,5 m distance... I spotted the fly and recognized it immediately.. how the heck? Frown It was really a Trichopoda pennipes. Almost I screamed. Grin
Really I suspected that T. pennipes was around because I spotted in the local several Nezara viridula (Hemiptera).
