Dear Forum,

I found this fly in the morning, sitting on a plant just above the water surface of the garden pond. It was not at all shy, and willing to be photographed. I have no clue where to search... any ID possible?

Thanks,

Markus

Some flies preserved in ethanol and then pinned often get the eyes sunken, how can this be avoided? Best answer: I usually keep alcohol-collected material in alcohol

Yes, dipterologists from far abroad, please buy your copy at veldshop. Stamps will be expensive, but he, the book is unreasonably cheap Smile
