Hello,

I photographed this fly near San Giovanni (BZ), Italy, 1800m a.s.l. on July 13th 2021. I think it is a Muscidae and it looks like a member of the genus Drymeia to me. Is the genus correct? And is it possible to identify its species from these photos?

Thank you in advance,
Emanuele

Some flies preserved in ethanol and then pinned often get the eyes sunken, how can this be avoided? Best answer: I usually keep alcohol-collected material in alcohol

Yes, dipterologists from far abroad, please buy your copy at veldshop. Stamps will be expensive, but he, the book is unreasonably cheap Smile
