One of the rariest European fruit flies, Oxyna obesa Loew, 1862 from Spain.

There were recent problems of identity of this and similar Spanish Oxyna and Campiglossa, so I have prepared a picture of the holotype based on the drafts made in Berlin collection with camera lucida in 1999.

The fly can be differentiated, according to my new European pictorial key, from 2 white orbital setae plus black posterior notopleural seta.
