This fly is a typical Siphunculina species Chlöoropidae, Oscinellinae). The vein R2+3 is very short, the scutellar bristles are short and not soft, the frons of several spp. possesses pubescent spots. Siphunculina spp. visit eyes or wounds, they rest in large numbers on the tip of thin hanging structures. |
