Hi all Smile,

This interesting larva (~ 2 cm in lenght) was found by my friend in a dead Alnus viridis wood, infected with microfungus inside it. This larva belong to Mycetophilidae? Also around it was something like a silk, the diptera larvae can produce silk ?

Can you rear it? Definitely fungus gnat and yes it produces its own silk. I bet it's a Keroplatid
