Found at Little Ayre in Muckle Roe, marshy field...It seems to have pretty basic wing veins and odd antennae compared to previous female Chironomids I've seen here. (Maybe an Overly Obese [read FAT] Male?  ) Or maybe something else?EDIT; Cecidomyiidae added to headline...Thx..to John Carr

Could be Planetella, which has head tucked under thorax instead of in front. |
