Puzzling photos! I am not sure if 1 & 2 are the same species, Sp 2 has a very long proboscis, not visiblein sp 2 (hidden?). What are the strange long bristles on dorsal abdomen in sp 2? I know of no anthos with this character, generally these are on ventral sternites. And also what looks like setae sticking out of hypopygium in Sp 2, but not in enlarged genitalia phoro. And haaave the hind coxae some setulae on inner posterior surface, as in Trichops (Muscidae). |

Looking also at the photos from "Anthomyiidae 1".....could also be Drymeia (Muscidae) Maybe D. alpicola or fasciculata Male fore pulvilli should be enlarged in D. alpicola.. Edited by javanerkelens on 07-01-2013 16:35 |

Thanks Michael and javanerkelens ! I was sure the anal vein reached the wing-margin, but it doesn´t ... Muscidae next. There are also two micropins in the first photo, that (I guess) fooled you Michael, sorry about that. skrylten attached the following image: ![]() [57.97Kb] |

]Looking also at the photos from "Anthomyiidae 1".....could also be Drymeia (Muscidae) Thats' it Joke. Haven't looked at Drymeia for many years but I recognise now the geniculate proboscis. I think the sp 1 is perhaps Botanophila? Notopleuron hairy? Very good enlarged photos Skrylten, especially the hind coxae! |
