Southern Norway, garden, 8th of August. Probably around 12+mm long I think.

Eristalis pertinax. The cone-shaped abdomen is quite characteristic.

And the tarsae of the front legs are yellow. And your estimation of the size could fit quite well Wink

Tried to attach an image to a forum post. jpg, 32kB, 72dpi, no blanks, ... File name is correctly displayed, but when I click "Preview Thread" it just vanishes. Help!
