Hello, A member posted following picture on our French forum:  chriscraft : France : 5/7/2007 : Clonas sur Var?ze : 38 altitude non renseign?e - taille : 6 mm ref:26275 So far, the conclusion is that this is a tachinid. Searching in the gallery of diptera.info, I only found three yellow tachinids, two Eliozeta sp. and Leskia aurea. I think the last one should exit because of the colour of the antennas. Eliozeta hello should also exit because antennas are too close. Is my reasoning flawed? Pierre Duhem |

This is neither of the two species. This should be Zenillia if I am not mistaken. There are 2 species, which are largely indistinguishable from photos. Another yellowish species within Exoristinae is Senometopia, but it looks somewhat different. This is one of my favorite Tachinids, which I saw only once.
