Hello

Perhaps this fly is a member of "Stratiomyidae", but I'm not sure. I would like to known, wich species I photographed today.

Foto: Germany - NRW - dry and warm industriearea with a lot of "Senecio inaequidens" and "Echium vulgare" - 03.10.2007 - M.Gebel

best regards
Markus

Some flies preserved in ethanol and then pinned often get the eyes sunken, how can this be avoided? Best answer: I usually keep alcohol-collected material in alcohol
