In late july I meet same fly near Moscow in mixed forest too. I've got reply (sorry do not remember from whom, Theo Zeegers or Kahis) that it is Anthomyiidae and that impossible to say more. Just in case I add my image too. Nikita

I found the reply from Kahis: "It's a female muscoid fly. Some critical characters are not visible, but I think it belongs to genus Pegomya (Anthomiidae). Uh-huh, did I call Nikita's fly a Pegomya? Now I see that it certainly isn't; it has four postsutural dorsocentral setae. This condition is very rare in Anthomyiidae and is not found in Pegomya. I think Paul has this one nailed down. Jere |
