Someone told me this fly could be Eggisops pecchiolii ? Is it possible to confirm this ID ? Thank you.

I have never seen this species. This is definitely a 'Rhinophorid-like Calliphoridae', so that is promising. Theo |

Eggisops pecchiolii seems right. Do you have a closer view to the scutellum ? It should have 3 pairs of strong marginal setae, while allies have 1-2 pairs.
