Hello!

I have never seen (and did not find it in the gallery) such a featherfooted Empid with an extremely long proboscis. It was only 6-7 mm long, found today in our garden (Ostwestfalen/Germany). Thanks for any hints!

Some flies preserved in ethanol and then pinned often get the eyes sunken, how can this be avoided? Best answer: I usually keep alcohol-collected material in alcohol

Yes, dipterologists from far abroad, please buy your copy at veldshop. Stamps will be expensive, but he, the book is unreasonably cheap Smile
