Sympycnus sp.

There are about 16 described species in Australia, many more await description.

Dear Graeme,

the colleague that should be best placed to help you out with this specimen is Dan Bickel (Sydney Museum). It also looks like a Sympycnine to me, but the genus Sympycnus itself is a polyphyletic assemblage.
