A Dolichopodidae (maybe ?) found in North of France, in a garden near the sea

Looks more like Hydrellia (Ephydridae) to me.

Yes, Hydrellia, but not enough detail to say which species. (Even with large, crisp photos from all angles, we might still have an unknown - some species need male genitalia dissection to be sure.)
