I have been on the lookout for Stegana, but not found any as yet.

There is also Camarota curvipennis (Chloropidae) that carries it's wings in a similar fashion.

But easy to tell the two apart under magnifcation.

Hi Mark,
Did you check trees infected by fungi? I did found a Stegana on the same tree where I found Neoalticomerus. It was a fagus infected by Fomes fomentarius,(fres ones). This was my favorite tree for flies because I like the relationship between fungi and flies. The tree is now removed.
