Could someone help me identifying these Tephritid?

The photo (author: Guillermo Booth) was made near Murcia, Spain, on 24.9.2008.

Thanks

Oxyna obesa Lw. Again, that rariest of the European flies. This picture is a little better than the previous. Can you please submit it to the Gallery?

Thanks for all the ID's,
This is a different place, not the same of the previous photo of this species, but there are near.

Ana Cobo Romero gave additional pictures showing that this fly has 2 frontal setae and certainly is Campiglossa martii (Becker), with its typically Oxyna-like pattern, which misled me. Furthermore, Bernhard Merz (1992) in his Canary Fruit Fly paper has already recorded this for the mainland Spain (Andaluzia, Almera). Jordi, I'd appreciate change of the thread title.

Some flies preserved in ethanol and then pinned often get the eyes sunken, how can this be avoided? Best answer: I usually keep alcohol-collected material in alcohol

Yes, dipterologists from far abroad, please buy your copy at veldshop. Stamps will be expensive, but he, the book is unreasonably cheap Smile
