I saw this fly in my garden (Walcheren, Netherlands) on the 27th of August 2006. Only 1 bad photo. It looks like Tachina fera, but I'm doubting.

Looks a bit more like Eriothrix rufomaculata Grin

Well, it is nether Eriothrix nor Tachina, it is
Peleteria rubescens.
