hi Flyforum,

I found these Muscina sp.(?) on my attic where I got some indoor-plants.
They look-like Muscina prolapsa, but I cannot match with the colour of the tibiae?
The tibiae are braunish/yellow.
The size of these fly is about 8-10mm, rahter small Muscina?.
The basical of antennepart III is a bit redish.
M-1 got a nicely curved swing.
And the top of the scutellum is orange/redish.
The general colouring of these flies are a bit greenish, which I cannot find in my pictures.

greeting Robert

Some flies preserved in ethanol and then pinned often get the eyes sunken, how can this be avoided? Best answer: I usually keep alcohol-collected material in alcohol

Yes, dipterologists from far abroad, please buy your copy at veldshop. Stamps will be expensive, but he, the book is unreasonably cheap Smile
