First I thought of Phania funesta, but the wing venation does not match, as my fly has a distinct petiolus. This recalls either Phasia, which, however, has a different habitus, or Rhinophoridae, but Rhinophora lepida has not such big white calypters. Now I am at my wits' end. Help, please! Many thanks, Sundew Sundew attached the following image: [166.84Kb] Edited by Sundew on 13-07-2009 22:18 |

And Phasiinae is right, too, so wing venation led me in the right direction. - Can we get closer to a species name? Edited by Sundew on 13-07-2009 12:50 |
