Hi,
Among our garden flies of last June was this Anthomyiid of considerable size. I thougt it was the common Hydrophoria lancifer, but this should have dark legs. Mine has yellow, as is especially obvious in the pic without flashlight. So I hope for experts' opinion.

Don't look the same to me, but that might be the exposure. The last photo reminds me of a Eutrichota species as the legs look quite long

It IS definitely the same fly, sitting in the same place, and I have some more pics of it. So I could supply some more details - no genitalia, however! Pfft
Well, two possible genera are better than none. Thanks!

This just shows that it is very difficult to name an anthomyiid from it general appearance and colour from a photo. The last two photos indicate that the lighting can alter the appearance! I agree with Nikita that it is nigrimana.
