Yann - looks like the same as your previous Lucilia (silvarum?). I didn't have time on the weekend to run it through the key carefully - I'll try for you (and Tony) this weekend, we have a holiday here on Monday, so a longer weekend Grin

I've had a good look now and feel I can confirm male Lucilia silvarum. Dark palpi, 2+1ph, 3 post acr, frontal vitta wider than fronto-orbital plate, calypter darkened, prest acr and dc rows equidistant, very little abdominal dusting, arista long-haired, anterior frontal seta just slightly closer to ptilinal suture than eye margin, T1+2 black, 4 strong median marginals on T3, black basicosta.

Please submit to gallery.

Some flies preserved in ethanol and then pinned often get the eyes sunken, how can this be avoided? Best answer: I usually keep alcohol-collected material in alcohol

Yes, dipterologists from far abroad, please buy your copy at veldshop. Stamps will be expensive, but he, the book is unreasonably cheap Smile
