Hi,
another fly from yesterday is a Tachinid (this time I should be right!). I trust in the experts to find a name.
Thanks, Sundew

It's Rhinophoridae (small calypters, cell r4+5 with a petiole). I'd say Phyto sp.
Stephane.

Many thanks, St?phane - so no Tachinid (when shall I learn?!). I'm absolutely not familiar with Rhinophorids but will look at the petioles in future.

Well, the stress is on 'small calyptrae', not on 'petiole'.
There are definitely Tachindae with a petiole.

Stephane is right on Phyto, looks like a male melanocephala.

I will try to fix the messages this month. We have to make some other configuration changes before software goes out of support at end of year.
