I hope that Tony or somebody else give me at least genus of such unusual painted-wings Ephidridae.

I really don't know for sure - but my first reaction is that it's close to Discomyza - I hope you have retained a specimen!

I used to think that ephydrid flies were a little boring... but this photo shows me that I was wrong! I would like to see them in action!!! Grin

maculipennis means spotted wings, with maculae

sure. curvipennis --- curved wings. Like Camarota curvipennis.
Albipennis - white/clear wings and so on.
