Sized about 7/8 mm. she was first resting on dung but when approached her she flew up to an oak leaf. There she stayed for while. Hairy eyes, ocelar bristles, 3d ant. length, all this doesn't match with Peleteria. Linnaemyia ? Stephane. |

I agree with Stephane - Linnaemyia - from the hairy eyes and protruding mouth edge & pale basicosta, but also the longer antenna 3 and lack of Peleteria bristles also helps  |

Correct. And given the blonde hairs on thorax. relatively narrow parafacialia and red femora (difficult to see), I'd say this is L. vulpina. Theo |
