Hello flycatchers, My first post on DI ! She was buzzing in my ears at work and I like to know who annoys me. OK for Dolichopodidae. Could it be a Dolichopus ungulatus ? Note that the tip of the left wing is broken. ![]() The Ghost Nightjar : France : Pluvigner : 56330 : 11/07/2015 Altitude : 73 m - Taille : 8-9 mm Réf. : 144771 ![]() The Ghost Nightjar : France : Pluvigner : 56330 : 11/07/2015 Altitude : 73 m - Taille : 8-9 mm Réf. : 144772 Regards, Yann |

I do not see setae on hind tarsus. I'd say Hercostomus or Poecilobothrus sp., female.

Hello, Thanks Igor. What are the main criteria to separate these two genus ? I will look if I have other photos showing these points. Regards, Yann |

Poecilobothrus has always purple spot on mesonotum laterally, Hercostomus - rarely.
