How does Peusomyia relate to Sayomyia, where American species with leg and wing markings are placed?

Saether erected the subgenus Peusomyia in 1970. He felt that the characters shared between pallidus and the Sayomyia species were plesiomorphic. He lists a number of characters which appeared to suggest that Peusomyia was more closely related to Schadanophasma and Chaoborus s.s. Let me know if you would like the ref, or a pdf of the relevant pages.

Thanks. I have Saether (1970). Borkent (1979, fig. 36) agreed they were distinct, but arranged subgenera differently. I must have only been paying attention to New World species when I read their papers.
