 Tabanus sudeticus? From bulgaria

Hi, the next ones should be more interesting (but are very difficult for me) but let's start with the big ones. They where all flying around a horse (that had to stay on the sun at midday, because he was attached...). Looking at my picture, the where at least 3 Tabanus species (+this one: 4), at least one Haematopota and Hippobosca equina. All of them quite numerous. Fascinating for me, but i wouldn't have liked to be this horse! North France is a interesting area for Tabanid? I haven't met lot of them yet there... But if you mean Bulgaria, i was there for Erasmus for 2 month, so i can't collect any more. But i still have few specimen |
