I do not manage to identify this Conopidae photographied photographed on July 16th, 2013 near Dinan (Northern Brittany)

I think this one may be Myopa variegata, but Dave Clements or another conopodist will correct if I'm wrong.

Beautifull picture Patrick!

Tony correctly identified this as Myopa variegata. The clear wings, without black or white markings and the silver spot on the scutellum give it away.

Very nice species and very nice pictures!
In the key I recently published as a pdf, the only Myopa species lacking is this one: http://waarneming...en_tel.pdf
