Found this in our garden in southern norway at june 20th. Aprox. 20-25mm long.
Can it be seen what it is? I'm really not sure it even is Asilidae tbh, but I think so...

Well, it certainly is Asilidae - loud and clear! I would suggest genus Machimus. I guess someone more knowledgable will even know a species name!

Tried to attach an image to a forum post. jpg, 32kB, 72dpi, no blanks, ... File name is correctly displayed, but when I click "Preview Thread" it just vanishes. Help!
